Robert Puddy was able to speak to Tom directly and get some things cleared up regarding the whole Traffic Exchange fisasco. It looks like Aweber is backing off a little from their original stance

Were still discussing TE’s in general though it looks like they may make it breaks frames, now I have pointed out that will make owners ban it in rotation if it does.
I will keep everyone posted
I’m glad to see Aweber reconsider the actions they were taking. It would have been horrible to see us all have to band together against them. Life is so much happier when we all work together!

UPDATE - 5/28
Received this nice PM from Tom on the Warrior Forum after I posted to an Aweber thread there
Like this post? Buy me an Arrogant Bastard (or other fine micro brew)Jon, if you’re affected contact our support
team and ask to speak with Sean Cohen our
Director of Client Services. He’s handling
the issue and will get your site straightened
out. This is only affecting the actual
owners of certain traffic exchanges and is
obviously not the folks we’re targeting with
the blocks. We’ve already been in contact with most of
the people affected who’ve written our
support team. If someone is still having
problems they need to contact our support
team and talk to Sean.–
